Retirement in the Philippines – Leisure Life in the Pearl of the Orient

The Philippines is such a great place to retire for Americans, but few do and that’s a shame. First of all, the people in the Philippines are different from what you may have grown accustomed to. There’s no sulky faces, no bitching and complaining. Instead the Filipino people are easy going and friendly and smile a lot. For a first timer to the Philippines, you may just wonder if you have been magically transported to another dimension! Life is much more enjoyable here. The pace is much slower and the attitude towards life, work and love is much more relaced. If you really want to quit the rat race and retire to a tropical paradise with pristine beaches, cheap living and beatiful women, then the Philippines is the place for you.

Consider this; What will you get for $1000 in the US? It’s hardly enough to get a roof over your head, much less live a decent, enjoyable life. Why should you retirement years be spent turning every nickle and being relegated to dating divorced bitter women? There is another way, trust me on this, you do not have to accept the American way of life.

On the other hand, $1000 in the Philippines is more than enough to live a very comfortable life, even extravagant. The average monthly income for a family of two working adults is only $250. That puts your $1000 into the top 10% bracket. Make more than that? You will be living like a king.

How many of us could affor to hire staff like a maid, a driver or babysitter back home? Can you imagine waking up in the morning and having your meal prepared by a chef? You house cleaned and your clothes pressed? A driver to take you were you want to go? How much do you need in the US for that?

Perhaps the biggest attraction for the American male in the Philippines are the beautiful Filipina women. Renowned for her beauty, feminity and caring nature. You are not too old in the Philipines. As long as you are a decent person and treat her with respect you will never be along. Just remember that the average Filipina women is much poorer than you, so expect to take care of her.

The Philippines has so much to offer American men looking for an escape to a tropical paradise. Most will never fulfill their dreams but continue pondering ‘what if?’. Don’t get stuck. Live your dreams!
